Making of the Music Video

After uploading our clips to Final Cut Pro we dragged the clips onto the timeline and rearranged them to create a narrative to our music video. We tried out different levels
of exposure and colour to try to make the colour of the video and style appear softer to connote the romantic and girly theme within our music video.

We adjusted the shadows, highlights and mid- tones (-3, -27 and 19) and the warmth of the colour for it to appear softer.

The opening shot is a bust shot of the girl (main character) in bed thinking. The mis- en- scene fits in within the pop genre. The mise- en- scene is colourful and bright. There are girly colours within the scene such as purple and pink this will appeal to our target audience. The shot also makes the audience question: "what is she thinking of?" and the would want to know what's going to happen next. The audience is instantly intrigued and would continue to watch the video.
We also added effects within our video so that the visuals match the sound.

….

We decided to change the yellow hue from our music video into a white hue. We got the inspiration from the music video Begin Again by Taylor Swift. The white hue adds a soft romantic element to the music video.

Because our genre is pop which is a fun and colourful genre we increased the exposure so that it wasn't a neutral tone like Taylor Swift's video.
